Who We Support

Thank you for supporting the Broad View United Thrift Store.  Proceeds from this store go to support the work and ministry of Broad View United (BVU) which includes the provision of this newly renovated thrift store for the community.

 

BVU is a progressive, inclusive, diverse and affirming community that seeks to be a transformative presence in the lives of many. We are actively engaged in:

• sponsoring a Palestinian Refugee Family,

• connecting with intercultural newcomers to Victoria to support them in finding their way in a new city/country,

• reaching out to seniors during COVID crisis and

• raising the profile of anti-racism and reconciliation efforts in the City

 

Through our program offering and with our partners, we are working to create a just world for everyone.   We work together with a variety of Partners and agencies to work at addressing and assisting in issues such as homelessness, food security, refugee settlement, emergency response and harm reduction.  Our partners include:

• Our Place Society

• Shelbourne Community Kitchen

• GVAT ( Greater Victoria Acting together)

• Umbrella society

• Victoria Women's Transition House

• Peers, TAPS, Raven, Aids Vancouver Island

• Saanich Neighbourhood Place
